On Saturday, December 15th, join us at Glassbox Gallery for the closing of “Un-Making the Fashion Digital Image"
For the first time, we will be live recording a conversation with Gill Linton, co-founder and CEO of Byronesque. We will be discussing what it means to be a digital fashion platform that, at the same time, provides an analogue experience with pre-internet fashion. This will be preceded by a discussion between Alice Pfeiffer of Les Inrocks and Marco Pecorari, Director of Fashion Studies at Parsons Paris.
This time last year, we were in the thick of quite possibly the hardest semester of our masters – not only were we stuck with major papers on topics of which we were just scratching the surface, we were also putting up our first major research exhibition on fashion labour. This was the first project we worked together on, and spent many late nights at Glassbox Gallery with Marco and Justin Morin working on the install. While we were so proud of the work we did, but we’ve both said to each other many times in the past few weeks that we’re thankful we’re not in the thick of that again. HOWEVER! Our colleagues in the first year of their MA are! And we are so excited to see the blood, sweat and tears they’ve put into this one, and even more excited that Marco has asked us to be a part of it in our own small way.
